Secret World Leveling Guide – Game Overview

The below article is a brief overview of this year’s upcoming mmorpg by Funcom called The Secret World. This game is set in the modern world however with a twist; our modern world contains every myth, legend and conspiracy. Along with contents featured in this Secret World manual, the manual contains a full on explanation what gamers need to expect in the game.

The Secret World is a MMORPG being put out by Funcom and EA Games. Pretty much the story is based in this world, and every myth, creepy thing, monster under your bed, conspiracy theory, it’s all true. Don’t try to think about that, because it will kind of blow your mind, of all the contradictions of the stories, and conspiracy theories, that are out there. But, there’s this secret war in the secret world leveling, going on in the world that we live in, put in creepy amusement parks for some reason.

The game play looks pretty interesting. They want all of the players’ actions to have a type of context to drive the story like the final fantasy xv guide. They’ve done that by, where you get missions. All of they’re non-player characters, all of them, they said are motion captured and actually voiced by real actors. They want it to feel less like, “Oh, this is just the place where I get missions.” But more storytelling and in-depth.

What I like about it is they have mission types, not just class types, but they have mission types with stealth. So you have to sneak in, do stuff. This sneaking in tactic is similar to Fallout 4 Beginner Guide to Leveling.  They have action types. There’s the storytelling mission, and then there’s a puzzle one where you actually have to, they want you to be able to learn things, really learn things. It’s kind of a weird developer, asking you to learn things. But they actually mentioned go onto the Internet, outside of the game, figure some things out, learn some stuff and then apply it in-game to these puzzle stories. Now that’s really cool.

You’ll be recruited by one of three organizations, the Dragons, the Templars, or the Illuminati, to fight in a secret war over secret ancient relics or the rising darkness. This game is really interesting. Go to and get freaked out. It’s a lot of fun.

KillerGuides: The Secret World Strategy Handbook Review

The Secret World GuideI was drawn into The Secret World, a game developed by Funcom which is a game filled with conspiracies, mysteries and legendary monsters. Not long ago, I purchased a copy of The Secret World Handbook from KillerGuides, by a recommendation from a friend of mine. I haven’t played an mmo since I’m a console gamer and this will be my first mmo game. At first I was unsure what to think of the guide but now that I’ve actually used the guide while playing the game, here are my thoughts toward the guide!

First of all, I’d like to mention that the guide was purchased at the price of $29.99 USD and instantly downloaded from the website. Secondly, the guide had over 100 pages of content listed out by chapters: Introduction, factions, walkthrough and so forth. Although the guide had no images but I rather read a guide packed with information (as it was advertised on the website).

The Secret World Strategy Compendium hosts a wide range of information but in this review, I’m going to pick out the topics which impacted me most in my gameplay. Okay before the guide, I got pretty frustrated in the game: stuck on missions, being defeated by monsters and most notably, being defeated in PvP. I knew I lacked the proper equipment for my character. Previously I spent a fortune on vendors, buying anything I could including Talismans. However, by referencing the compendium, I was diverted to crafting or transcribing my equipment rather than buying it. The guide contained a 4×5 grid with self-made images of the transcribing grid (which I thought was pretty cool). I learned how to proper craft my weapon and slotting in the correct materials. By the end of each crafting session, I had within my possession weapons better than what the vendors had.

The Unofficial THE SECRET WORLD Strategy GuideFollowing the transcribing section, I was guided to equipping the best possible gear for my character; the list referred me to the best Talismans which I could craft. Not only did the guidebook instruct me step-by-step of the way, the guidebook also listed out the types of prefixes and suffixes I could add to my Talisman or weapon, to boost stats. Think of it terms of add-ons for your character, per say. I observed an immediate change within my character after I equipped my weapons and Talisman; my character was improving in PvE combat. I was thrilled with the outcome; how would have thought such simple yet detailed instructions could improve my character within a hour?

My overall verdict: this is a solid guide and provides information exactly how it was advertised on the website. Due to the usefulness of the guide, I will go ahead and by the Secret World bundle, which has 2 more guides in it. I think many players will benefit from’s The Secret World guides.

The Secret World: Hell Raised

The Secret World Guide to First Hours Part II

The secret world monster
Starting to get kind of bored probably because I think assault rifle is more of a support class made to hang out in groups. Also people walking around with AK’s and other weapons and they’re not telling me how to get one. Started doing jobs for this guy names Moose. He’s pretty much Johnny Cash only he makes explosives and that, I’m not going to lie, is cool as hell. It’s actually a pretty boring chain of quests but it led up to a big ass finale in the sewers that was actually pretty fun.

OK, I’m back on board again mostly thanks to the really supportive players that I finally met in the TSW guide. Unlike last time when I asked a question, it actually got answered this time and a lot of really helpful people started chiming in. They helped me discover the crafting window. By the way, never, ever just sell a green item or better. You will need the materials.

Alright, I think this is enough of a first impressions review. This secret world guide has a lot of great ideas and an awesome setting. Combat can be a bit of a drag as some attacks like a punch to me like this sticky bomb ability I just picked up. It just kind of peters out and damage comes off you know? You’re expecting some kind of big boom but nothing. But again, it is still a beta and as with all MMO’s things can change. I won’t say the combat’s terrible, it just needs tweaking a little bit, maybe a little bit more of feeling. Of course this is all coming from a rifle standpoint. I have no idea how the other combat aspects feel. I guess what I’m trying to say is I like this game even for its flaws so far.

I want to keep going in it and see more to the story and MMO’s that’ a rarity and if you’re the type that really loves stories in your games, you’re going to like this to. I will say though that after a few days of not playing it and everyone that I’ve work with always going on about it I’m like the game less and less. Though that’s more of a thing with me I think. When I constantly hear about something I come to hate it. The same thing happened with Old Republic and it’s kind of silly because seven years ago I wouldn’t shut up about World of Warcraft. I’m sure the games great and all I’ve just been hearing too much about it lately and not playing it enough. Anyway, if you get a chance to get into the beta or maybe a friend has an account or something that lets you hop on for a few hours, give it a try. You might like it, you might hate it. You never know.

Referencing this Killer Guides TSW book, the book explains it way better than I could.

The Secret World Guide to First Hours Part I

The Secret World First HourUsing an online guide by a game guide company called KillerGuides, their website contains the most up-to-date information about The Secret World. I used their guides to explicitly write down my input on the game following the secret world mission manual provided, the manual explains how to do your missions efficiently.

The hype for the Secret World has been building for quite a while now. It’s promising a whole new take on MMO’s and in a genre as bloated and stagnated with failed WOW clones it desperately needs a breath of fresh air. I hop into the beta and I tell you what I think about my first few hours with the game.

I decide to go with the illuminati for this one. They’ve been the most interesting faction to me ever since I first heard about this game. The first hour of the game is your standard introductory phase you get in most MMO’s now days. It’s basically your tutorial for secret world leveling guide. You’ll get a basic over view of combat and buildings and different types of equipment you can use. I opted for assault rifles because, well I love assault rifles. You’ll also get to meet some great characters and let me tell you I love the voice actors they have so far

I came across a rather annoying and crippling bug but it is still a beta after all. Hopefully it gets worked out before the release. Basically what it did, it stole my ability points when I tried different weapons in the training room. When I started questing I was pretty much a newborn out there all over again without any of the starting abilities that I had learned in the training room. Anyway, before you know it it’s time to head off to my first real mission slash quest hub up in New England.

I am loving the secret world setting so far. I am a major sucker for small towns gone to hell. It makes me think of my favorite series ever, Silent Hill. I am, however, noticing some things that are rather annoying. For instance, you can only trek one quest at a time. At the moment it’s not that big of a deal but I can see some streamlining problems later on though like traipsing all around an area doing one job while there was things for a different job in the same area. You’ve gone to one area of the map and then find out you’re going to have to go back to the same area you just left from about 20 minutes ago.

Another is that is seems like you can only have one quest type at a time, according to the secret world guide. Getting a new one of that type gives us warning that it cancels one already in progress. People in chat said that you can get more the one it just turns off trek for the old one and I guess you can come back and do it after you finished this new one? I’m not real sure about it right now because I was too afraid to try it.

Finally coming across harder enemies in a trixie little instance mission with a tentacle nutball. I finally died a few times. It’s handled the same way WOW does. Ghost at one point, run back and collect your corpse, still loving the stories and the characters though.

First Glance to the Secret World Mechanic

Secret World Beta

Secret World is a massively multi-player online game set in the modern day. It’s a game where we ask the question what if every urban legend, myth and conspiracy theory were true. Some of the myths that we go into, I mean like we go into sort of the depths of New England law, Native-American myths. We look at pyramids in Egypt and what’s going on there. We go into Transylvania, werewolves, vampires, the whole kit and kaboo.

At the beginning of the Secret World, players will choose a faction, either the Illuminati, the Dragon or the Templar. These three factions are involved in a secret war with each other that also united against the darkness that’s rising in the secret world guide. The darkness that’s rising in the Secret World was triggered by an event, which players will learn about very early in their playing sessions. What that’s done is set off occult occurrences all over the globe, you know, ghosts begin haunting houses that they haven’t been in for years, zombies start rising from the dead in certain places, vampires start coming out into the open, werewolves are hunting for human flesh on the streets of some of the cities. The darkness is rising everywhere because of one inciting incident.

The different between the Secret World and another MMORPGs is modern setting, no classes, no levels, free-form character progression, and actually none of the clothing that you equip in the game has stats so you can wear whatever you want, be however you want throughout the game. The Secret World have no classes and levels. The way that a player progresses is by gathering skills. To this end, they’ve created something called the skill wheel. The skill wheel, which you’ll see in the game has like 500 possibilities and players can purchase any of those abilities using skill points that they own by playing the game.

In the secret world leveling, because they don’t have classes, they have several types of weapons that players can use, for example. If you want to do range damage, you might want to pick up a shotgun or an assault rifle or pistols. If you get into sort of getting into things, up close and personal, you might want to grab like a fist weapon or you might want to go under the sledgehammer. If you’re kind of into the magic side of things, you might want to get into chaos or elemental or even blood magic.

Summarizing the above article, The Secret World guideline provides an insider’s view how to customize your Decks in the game for each type of situation. For example, if you need skills, this guidelines tells you how to efficiently use the skill wheel. Plus, equip the best skills in a skill rotation.

Secret World Pre-Order

Balancing is always a challenge when a system like the Secret World and when you’re dealing with classes. The great thing about this game is, there are two great things. One is that everybody has access to everything, so even if you create a sort of deck of power studies and it’s underpowered and you feel cheated, it doesn’t matter. You can then go out and get something that works better. You failed on the first build, let’s try to create a better one. Secondly, players can starting to come up with their sort of flavor of the week deck, like this is the build that rules now, this owns everything, and then there is one guy says, ‘wait a second, if I do this and this and this, that builds, I’m going to wipe that, that’s just completely useless now. Hopefully we’ll see this sort of shifting landscape of builds and counter builds and players that are getting into them. I guess you could say the science of skills wheel, and of course, The Secret World is going to expand that as we go along to add more functionality, more new stuff. They will try not to invalidate its powers that are already there because everything in this game is useful to some degree, but to add more variety, more possibilities.

In The Secret World, we have two main molds to view. We have the battlegrounds. There’s El Dorado for example, you capture the flag where you have 10v10v10, with three factions of playing. You have the four flags and you have to hold them and plant them and protect them. There are team death match at Stonehenge. Again, it’s faction versus faction versus faction. I can’t remember the exact numbers there but again, sort of trying to twist the mechanics a bit. Most importantly, there are war zones, persistence play fields where players will capture certain objectives, hold them in order to gain bonuses and bucks for your entire faction, everybody in that faction.

The Secret World guide you to the mysterious world. It’s all about the story and the setting. All the systems are really important, and The Secret World started as a world. It creates a modern-day world that is filled with everything that us geeks love, those extra dimensions, the mystery, the fact that everything is true. It looks like the real world, but there really are vampires. There are demons that walk the earth. There are portals into other dimensions, and starting with that. It was what kind of stories do we want to know and get in touch.

The Secret World Strategy Compendium is a great example of a guide filled with PvP information. Gameplay analysis and strategies to achieving PvP is covered in the guide. Plus, the guide has information that can help you in building your decks efficiently.

Secret World Leveling Guide to Societies and Missions

The Secret World Mission

Featuring an article written by an established author, the author has used some of their content from The Secret World e-book to post up some comments here. In the e-book, you can find information about the missions presented in the game. From Sabotage to Investigation missions, the book analyses each objective to quickly accomplish your missions. Check out the written post below and the link to the book for further reference.

When you’re out there in the open world of the Secret World, and you’re doing missions, you can collaborate with the other guys, because everybody wants to fight in this invasion of Solomon Island, so that’s a shared experience and that’s a shared story. There are lots of beats in the story where you head back to your secret society, to your hub, where the story changes. The motivation for doing what you’re doing changes. There are ranking missions in order to increase your ranking in your secret society that are very different. There are unique abilities, there’s unique hair, there’s unique clothing and uniforms. In the beginning of The Secret World, you don’t choose a class or anything like that, but you do get to choose a weapon, and when you choose that weapon, you get some powers with it and that allows you to experiment a little bit for the first hour or two hours, but very quickly you can get another weapon, buy some more powers and re-diversify and try out a lot of things without starting a new character.

The Secret World Illuminati

The first thing you do in the Secret World is to choose a secret society, and that choice is for life. You can’t change that, you can’t undo that. You better know what you’re getting into, and that’s also why they’re informing players about the secret societies now to a great degree. They have tests you can take, there’s a ton of information, there’s videos you can play. You should know by the time the game launches which secret society you are, and I know that a lot of the people in the community have chosen. They know what they want to be in, so when you go into the game, the first hour in the game is completely unique because it sets up your secret society so it’s completely unique for a secret society, but very quickly we want to bring people together and these secret societies, they stand united against the rising darkness. They are divided in the pursuit of power which means there’s the secret world PvP guide. There’s also this sort of underlying secret war where they try to sabotage each other and infiltrate each other’s headquarters, and you get to play a part in that as well.

Playing as a Templar is in some ways, you cover the same content. It is a different experience in terms of the feel of it and the philosophy behind it. You are a part of a radically different organization.
